What this Privacy Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifying information (“PII”) that we collect when you visit the Axis Partnership Website (our “Website”).
As detailed in our Terms & Conditions (the “Terms & Conditions”), by the act of registering as a User, individual Users give certain consents to Axis Partnership UK Ltd pursuant to the Data Protection Act 1998. These are dealt with in this Privacy Policy.
Collection and Use of Information
We do not record PII from unregistered users who merely browse our Website and who do not register so as to become a “User” within the meaning of our Terms & Conditions. However, we do collect and/or record and/or track PII when:-
- User registers with our Website;
- User visits pages of our Website; and
- User sends information by e-mail to us.
We may combine information concerning a User with other information that we have (including PII) that we have obtained from business partners or other sources and we may use the combined information for marketing and communication purposes only.
When you register with the Axis Website we always invite you to read the Terms & Conditions carefully which you should do in conjunction with this Privacy Policy. Once read, you are asked to signify your acceptance before proceeding with the Registration. Thereafter, as part of the Registration process as a User we ask you for your name, e-mail address and full postal address. We also ask for your position or status (if the application is made on behalf of an incorporated business), your business name, your day-time contact telephone number and (at your discretion), evening and mobile telephone numbers and a fax number. As a cross-check for security purposes we require an e-mail address for confirmation. For statistical purposes we require to know where you found out about our Website and inform you that your details will be registered with our appropriate office(s) to receive brochures and/or details of properties that might be of interest to you.
We also ask which sectors, geographical area and price range you are particularly interested in, none of which restricts your use of the Website. At the time of Registration you are also asked whether you consent to receive direct marketing information by e-mail in the future (see below).Once you have registered as a User, you are not anonymous to us as these details are stored on our Axis Database connected to the Website (the “Database”) and Axis internal CRM database.
In particular, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your own computer’s browser program (“your browser”), including your IP address, Axis cookie information (see below) and the details that you have requested from the Website. Where you request information concerning a property from the Database we record that fact to enable us to supply the facilities of the Database requested. We may contact you by e-mail, telephone or facsimile to acquaint you with any changes in the data relating to the property details which you have downloaded and, where we consider it reasonable to do so, details of any similar properties coming onto our Database which may be of interest to you.
We also store information regarding the frequency of your use of our Website to archive your record automatically.
We also may use PII for the following general purposes:-
- to customise the presentation of property information and other content of the Website;
- to fulfil your requests for certain products and services;
- to contact you periodically via direct e-mail marketing campaigns on a range of subjects that, we hope, will be of interest to you; and
- to compile general statistics (without personal identification) as to numbers using the Website, numbers of sales details viewed, total Site activity and other general statistical information.
For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR” (the Act), the data controller is Axis Partnership UK Limited of Axis House, Hillside Rd, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7EA. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05764337 and have our registered office at Axis House, Hillside Rd, Bury St Edmunds, IP32 7EA. We are a limited company.
PURPOSES AND METHODS OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
The personal data provided by the data subject (the “data”) will be processed for the following purposes:
Marketing Purposes (excludes performing our contractual and service obligations in relation to any contracts entered into between you and Us)
a. to provide access to content, offers and news in accordance with the methods provided for by Axis Partnership K Ltd. (“the company and/or Axis”)
b. to enable the company to carry out surveys designed to improve the quality of the service provided in the legitimate interests of Axis, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies and its sales network (“customer satisfaction”);
c. to send commercial and/or promotional communications regarding the products and services offered by the company, including promotional offers, and to perform market research activities (“marketing”), subject to the consent of the data subject;
d. subject to the consent of the interested party, to communicate the data to subsidiaries directly and indirectly controlled by Axis and/or to companies connected to Axis, which may process the data of the data subject in order to send sales and/or promotional communications on the products and services of the aforementioned companies, as well as to perform market research activities.
e. to carry out our obligations in relation to any contracts entered into between you and Us, and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
The processing of data for each of the aforementioned purposes may be carried out using paper-based, automated or electronic means, in particular via ordinary mail or by email, via telephone, SMS messages, via fax and via any other IT channel (e.g. websites, mobile apps etc.).
The personal data provided by the data subject (the “data”) will not under any circumstances be processed for the following purposes:
f. to analyse the behavior, habits and propensity to consume of the data subject (with his/her consent), with a view to improving the products and services provided by the company and to meeting the specific needs of customers (“profiling”);
g. to use images of the customer and/or the data subject as part of the customer profiling activity, in order to improve customer management and the customer experience as a whole (once again, this is subject to the consent of the data subject).
CONSEQUENCES OF FAILURE TO PROVIDE CONSENT
The provision of consent as referred to in letters c), d) and e) above is optional. However, failure to provide this consent will render it impossible for Axis to carry out the activities referred to in letters c), d) and e).
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your information with selected third parties including business partners, Buyers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you.

STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
The data processed in order to provide the service and to deliver customer satisfaction will be kept by the company for the period considered strictly necessary to achieve these ends. Furthermore, the data processed in order to provide the service may be stored for a longer period, to enable any disputes relating to the provision of the service to be handled. Data processed for marketing purposes will be kept by the company from the point at which the data subject provides his/her consent until this consent is revoked. In the event that consent is revoked, the data may no longer be processed for the aforementioned marketing purposes, but may still be stored in order to handle any disputes and/or disagreements and/or to ensure the safety of the customer. The time for which data for marketing purposes is kept by Axis is in compliance with local regulations and with the provisions set out by the Regulator, that being the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) https://ico.org.uk .
THE RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
The data subject shall have the following rights:
1. the right of access, i.e. the right to obtain confirmation from the company as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and where this is the case, to obtain access thereto;
2. the right to rectification and erasure, i.e. the right to have inaccurate data rectified and/or to have incomplete data completed, and the right to have personal data erased for legitimate reasons;
3. the right to impose restrictions on the processing of personal data, i.e. the right to request the suspension of data processing for legitimate reasons;
4. the right to data portability, i.e. the right to receive the data in a structured, commonly-used and easily readable format (such as a pdf format), as well as the right to transmit the data to another data controller;
5. the right to object, i.e. the right to oppose the processing of data where legitimate reasons for this exist, including data processed for marketing purposes, if this is envisaged;
6. the right to contact the competent data protection regulator, that being the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), in case of unlawful data processing.

Direct Marketing by E-Mail
Where at the time of Registration you have specifically consented for the purposes of Regulation 22 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (and so long as you have not withdrawn that consent), we may contact you periodically via direct e-mail marketing campaigns on a range of subjects that, we hope, will be of interest to you concerning its services and products, and those of our business partners and may use PII for such purpose.
You have the right free of charge, at any time, to request that direct marketing communications sent to you by electronic mail by Axis shall cease, either by amending your personal details by sending an e-mail to info@axisuk.co.uk clearly indicating that you do not wish your contact details to be used for the purpose of direct marketing by e-mail in the future. If you send us an e-mail, we will process this as promptly as possible and in any event within 14 days.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.
We, will, however, send PII about you to other companies or people where we have your consent to share that information, or we need to share such information in order to provide the service that you have requested, or we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of Axis in order to provide a service or product to you. (Unless we tell you differently, where these companies are outside the Group they do not have any right to use the PII that we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us).
Members of Axis have registered their categories of Disclosure Subjects with the Information Commissioner in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Axis does comply with Court Orders, subpoenas and legitimate requests from lawful authorities who by statute or legal process command our compliance.
We will also disclose PII about you in the event that your actions on our Websites violate our Terms & Conditions, or any of our usage guidelines for specific services.
We may transfer information about you if Axis or any associated companies acquires or is acquired by or merged with any other company.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data, often including an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser in your own computer from our Website servers and this is stored on your computer’s hard drive.
To reassure you:-
- A cookie only ever sends back what was stored. This means that our Website cannot obtain any information via a cookie about your computer that our Website does not already know;
- Our Website cannot get to your e-mail address, name, address or other PII unless you have already provided that information to the Website in the first place; and
