The Business
- Care calls are for a minimum of one hour and are co-ordinated so that all care needs are delivered by means of a thoughtful and holistic service
- All carers benefit from a comprehensive learning and development programme, a structured career path and are rewarded with a market leading rate of pay and profit-sharing scheme
- Current number of service users and % split by funding source: 25 (23 private, 2 Essex County Council) 90/10 split
- Average charge rate: Rate is £29 per hour Monday-Friday, weekends £30 per hour, bank holidays are chargeable at double rate, invoiced monthly
- Weekly care hours delivered for the last 8 weeks: Approx. 350 per week
- Current number of care workers and Pay Rates: 15 including 2 office staff (not RM), £13 per hour (weekdays), £13.50 per hour (weekends) plus quarterly bonuses, all zero hour contracts apart from care coordinator, mileage 45p after first ten miles
Our Services
- Personal care – Helping the clients get ready for the day or wind down for the night with support for personal hygiene and appearance
- Medication support – Assisting with managing and administering of medication in conjunction with local pharmacies
- Co-ordination of care needs – Working with local healthcare teams across the community and hospital settings to deliver a holistic service
- Transitional care – Co-ordination and continuity of healthcare during a movement from one healthcare setting or another e.g., rehabilitation after a hospital stay
- Respite care -Temporary support so that the usual carer can take a break or short-term help whilst the individual recovers from an operation
- Palliative and end-of-life care – Providing care support and ensuring quality of life for those living with complex and terminal illnesses
- Meal preparation – All Carers receive nutritional training by a local chef so we’re well-equipped to help prepare healthy meals and assist with shopping
- Light housekeeping & gardening – Help is provided with dusting, laundry, hoovering, ironing and weeding and watering plants to keep your home in great condition
- Pet care – Help is available with walks, trips to the vets or even just tummy tickles!
- Local transport – This can be provided in addition to acting as an escort if needed e.g., shopping, errands, hospital appointments etc.
